nah. Reminded me a bit of Hemingway and his "Lost Generation"... I love Hemingway but didn't really get hooked on Kerouac. I can see how this book is a portrait of America of 1950s or something but it's hard to relate. Iconic of its time, I guess. Read full review

At first I didn't like the first person narrative, but as it went on, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me want to go across the country and do whatever whenever I felt like it, meeting anyone and everyone along the way. I see why it is one of the best American literary works ever.
